Not that I am one to blow my own Trumpet, but we are two large bits of tractor more de-rusted.
We have now completed re-rusting the Trumpets. The Trumpet goes from the rear axle to the wheels, as below. This is not our tractor, it is just to show where the trumpets go.
They have been soaked in molasses for several weeks then pressure washed to wash the rust and molasses off.
Power wire brushed.
Painted with rust converter, then etch primer, but not top coat. The weather has become too poor for us to get the top coat out.
And wrapped in newspaper and clingfilm to keep them safe until we start the actual re-build in the spring.
